Classic, I love it. The soundtrack (A Kind of Magic) was one of the first cassettes I ever bought to go in my walkman (those are 2 words not used very often any more). Back then I loved the basic idea of the film, I loved the action, and I loved the dialogue. . Connor MacLeod: Wanna hear another theory?. Lieutenant Frank Moran: Uh-huh.. Connor MacLeod: This Fasil was so upset about the lousy wrestling tonight, that he went down to the garage and in a fit of depression cut off his *own* head!. Garfield: Are you a faggot, Nash?. Connor MacLeod: Why, Garfield? Cruisin' for a piece of ass?. And that hand licking bit. Kurgan: Father! Forgive me , I am a worm.... [starts laughing diabolically]. Kurgan: [to everyone in the church] I have something to say! It's better to burn out than to fade away!. A great baddie, Kurgan. God knows what happened to that poor hooker "Candy". . A superb film with some terrible sequels. I did enjoy the TV series, but most wouldn't. There is an anime film of the highlander world which I thought was good and others may enjoy . 10/10 when I was fifteen, 9/10 today
Joe (2014), the film adaptation of Larry Brown's novel of the same name, is scheduled for release 3/18/14. I read the novel and it was characteristically great, so I'm hoping someone will put a link here. Should one appear soon, if someone could message me, in case I miss it, I'd really appreciate it. (It's not in the list of those to come--why I'm asking here.). Thanks!
This movie was really awesome the thing i love was the news reporters fight on Central Park watching Jim Carrey, Liam Neeson, Will Smith, etc. Fight for the title of who of they are the BEST Anchorman on the US, was pretty amazing, like the first movie of the Anchorman. 10/10
NOOOO Danny's becoming something terrible. At first i thought the money was going to his head but now I think it's something much worse. And I really thought Jo and he had a chance there but maybe it's better they don't get involved yet.
In a critical sense Breaking Bad is better than Game of Thrones. Breaking Bad has the best character development in tv shows and movies. The acting of the characters were perfect and all at an incredibly high and realistic standard. Vince Gilligan has utilised foreshadowing the best that i have seen in tv shows and ended the show on such a perfect note that very few people could ever hope to achieve. Game of Thrones has amazing acting, but none of the characters seem 'REAL'(I do understand its high fantasy), possibly if -(SPOILERS AHEAD LOOK AWAY!)-Ned Stark was around it could've had that main point driven plot, that it at glance not need but it does.-(SPOILER)-There is no character driven centre point which makes the story weak in a sense.(The centre point is the Throne), but overall because of it being far more story driven it really rewards people who put in the time to read and discover everything about. . BB 9.75/10 GoT 9.7/10. TL;DR Breaking Bad is better in a critical sense, Game of Thrones is more rewarding and story driven.. What a Rant :D
Whoah....starting to get deep. I really, REALLY hope it's not given up on. Whedon is definitely trying to fabricate something larger, and deeper, than Buffy. To all of the nay sayers: expectations of instant gratification will not, and can not exist with this show. They have to weave a fine line between their originality, AND the rest of the Marvel cinematic universe. This means taking into consideration the past, and the future box office releases.. This is really building up some steam, and I'm looking forward to the next few episodes (surely Disney wouldn't invest so much, without a grand plan...).
@Smak Lol, I guess I can let that slide....still hurts my feelings.. Apparently, the page here hasn't updated with IMDB yet, or the info hasn't been input to IMDB. I guess when it comes out, we'll see what happens when a linker tries to add the episode. Sometimes, it just has to be forced, gently...like you love it...
