I love this series! Although it is anime, it actually has a real plot line. The story moves at a rapid pace; you never feel like you are just sitting through several empty episodes waiting for the next memorable event to occur. I love all the characters--Aang in all his fun-loving craziness, Toph with her blind comments, Sokka and his amazing repertoire of bad jokes, even Ty Lee with her "clumps" of fur. I give this series a 10 of 10.

This may sound and look a little cheesy on the front, but it is absolutely wonderful! The characters have great depth, the plot twists and turns freely, but realistically. Surprises wait all through it. I found myself watching episode after episode without paying any attention to the time. I don't usually like flat animation, but this really works well with it. Some episodes made me laugh out loud (seriously!)and some were so sad that for a time I refused to watch any more. Still others were so suspenseful and full of action that I barely noticed what was going on around me. Most other people probably don't have this strong a reaction to Avatar, but I would give it 5 out of 5 stars (more if I could)!
