There's a reason this HBO miniseries has a 9.6 rating on IMDB, making it one of the highest rated IMDB series' ever. Executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks after collaborating on Saving Private Ryan, the events filmed are based on author Steven Ambrose's research and recorded interviews with actual veterans of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. It's well worth one, if not multiple viewings. Be prepared, it is equally raw and emotional as watching films such as Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan.
