Season 2 ends pretty good. Season 4 and season 6 were EPIC. One of the best shows out on Tv.(Has great ratings and well deserved. Nice to see people actually watch shows that aren't reality tv garbage like real housewives of who cares) You have to watch more then a few episodes in the 2nd season to see it. Give it a little more time and I'm sure you wont regret it. If you watch ALL of season 2 and don't like it then this show isn't for you. Give it a try though.

I'm kinda falling away from dexter, im on the second series and its getting boring

June 30th couldn't come faster, I need my Dexter fix!!!

We've come a long way from the 'Ice Truck Killer'! There is no other series I have enjoyed more than Dexter. My mother and I have watched it every Sunday from the Episode 1 premier... the series' final season is fast approaching and it's so bitter sweet.
On one hand; I hate to see it go... on the other; I can hardly wait to see how the series wraps up.
I know it's gonna be big, but I just can't imagine how they will top what they've been able to do through all the other seasons - it has to be quite a challenge!
I must go now, my 'dark passenger' beckons!

def keep watching. I LOVE Hannibal but IMO Dexter is the best. The more you watch, the more you will love it. Hannibal is a great show/movie but hes more of a sicko. Dexter is the serial killer you would be friends with. So much i named my dog Dexter. Don't think i would've named him after Hannibal Lector. Don't get me wrong, hes an awesome serial killer but Dexter is just my favorite. Oh and Dexter is a sicko too but he doesn't eat people. He kills for a real purpose. Bad people disgust him while annoying people disgust Hannibal. Dexter just has to itch the dark passenger inside him. season 2 and 4 were my favorite while the great were still really good. i just like the killers he goes after in those seasons

I am also a huge Hannibal fan, and agree with everything u said about him.But, many years before the series, I was a Dexter fan.Watched it since the first episode, and own all of the seasons except for 7 (don't think it is out yet). I recommend you keep watching, as it does get better as it goes along.The acting gets better as does the storyline.I personally enjoy the flashbacks,and as time goes by i think you will realize why they are important.There was one season of it i found kinda dull , I think it was 3.That is just my opinion,though,and it was still interesting enough to keep me watching. Hopefully you won't be disappointed if you continue watching.If you are, feel free to blame me!:-)

So I like Hannibal. He's my favorite fictional serial killer. But the like for him comes, as with most people I would guess, from being Hannibal. He is a very fascinating character, his subtle hints, his sophistication, his intellectual dominance of others. If he invites you to dinner, you'll probably still go, despite knowing you may be one of the courses served.
Then there's Dexter.
So far I've only watched the first five episodes but it has drawn me in as well. Some of the acting being a bit clunky, especially Erik King as Sgt Doakes and Jennifer Carpenter as Debra Morgan come to mind here.
For my taste there's a few too many flashbacks. It is nice to get why Dexter is the way he is, but there are more flashbacks than the show would've needed.
Dexter himself though is quite good. While Hannibal draws people with fascination, Dexter is actually ... likeable. The guy is doing what he does to do good (mind you, Hannibal also usually only served people, that made the world a better place by being gone) but he is still a serial killer, and a cruel one at that. Yet still, the guy is very likeable and we find ourselves being in his corner.
All in all a very well made show.

thanks for the help. i was un muted. yeah i was thinking the same with dexter but hopefully they throw us a curve ball and dont do the expected. maybe he retires or something. hopefully is a happy ending to one of the best shows out

any help from mods to un mute this guy, It happens to all of us, last time I luckily got off with an early sentence thanks to the users. But yah SOA, True Blood, Homeland, Justified, and Teen wolf, I stay current on those, They are so many awesome shows nowadays. I'm currently about 4 eps into the 2nd season of falling skies after flicker forced me to watch it, so far its good. I haven't been able to get into the rest of those shows tho. Surprisingly I really like Teen Wolf almost as much as True Blood, the 3rd season should be starting soon and i think its gonna have twice the number of eps compared to season 1 and 2... I'm just gonna be depressed to see dexter come to an end, its gonna be hard for this to end properly, because i have a feeling its gonna get very dark.

Sons of Anarchy, Breaking bad, Hell on wheels, the killing, Falling Skies, True Blood, Shameless(us), House of Lies, Californication, Homeland, Justified,even Teen Wolf on mtv is good. American Horror Story. all get shows that i haven' u list below. check some of them out.
