I thought the show was pretty good! I hate when they cancel shows! They should make more shows like this one! I would watch them!

Too bad this was cancelled. A mystery/supernatural journey down the Amazon. Sometimes the 'found footage' novelty wore thin and they cheated with editing and certain shots for narrative purposes. I would have been fine if they abandoned that technique altogether and focused on just telling the story. Some of the characters had potential given more time although I found the mother unlikeable and an irritant.
Still a show that had great potential.

This is kind of like Jurassic Park meets Paranormal Activity. It definitely peaks your interest. I'd give it an 8/10. Try it out if you're looking for something to tide you over with all the shows on break. (Oh and "Zero Hour" looks promising too)

This is an AWESOME tv show!! The River is a story of Emmet Cole (Bruce Greenwood), a TV personality who is famous for going on trips to wild places and filming the most spectacular wildlife video. Emmet goes missing deep in the Amazon Jungle, his family, friends and crew all journey out on a deadly mission to find him. Once there, they get a signal that a beacon is leading them to Emmet, who was thought to be dead for six months. However, when they get to the beacon, supernatural phenomenons begin to happen and the crew begin the journey of not finding Emmett, but saving their own lives. Created by Michael R. Perry (Paranormal Activity) and Michael Green (Green Lantern), The River is a non-stop thriller shot in the style of a documentary that makes you believe that this is really happening.

AWESOME Tv show which combines Horror, exploration, Nature and reality TV show all in one. And darn well good too! Sad there's no season 2. If you don't have good links here try downloading from torrents ;) Happy watching :D
