Alice in Wonderland. (1999)

Surprisingly better than I thought it would be to the extent that I almost prefer it to the Disney version. Only thing that could of made it better if someone other than Whoopi Goldberg was the cat...

Good effects, but no other reason to watch it. It's faithful, but not fun. Alice in Wonderland is supposed to be a very fun tale, but I didn't have any fun with this film.

Even though this is a live version of the beloved classic Lewis Carol Novel, its still not as edgy and just doesnt really catch the feel of the book, and just makes it another live action version. While this is an all star cast and do great at there roles, that just doesnt make up for the plot changes and boring premise. A OK childrens movie.

Really not that great! Dissapointed!

An interesting adpatation of the tale, it's costume design and effects are quite amazing but it's far too faithful. The origianl tale was such anti-narrative in it's story, that it only worked because it featured chapters in which the reader knew they were changing into a differnet short story, instead we got a non-sense tale, which is the appeal of the Alice in Wonderland. But it works far better as a book, here it's over-bloated and rather boring for the most part. The mad tea party still stands out, but beyond that it's a mess and a faithful mess at that.

Yea this wasn't too good, infact Tim Burton's was way better. The thing that I didn't really like was the casting for the Mad Hatter or the way they made the Mad Tea Party. The Trial wasn't too good either.

General Consensus: Basically bland version of the classic tale. A miss.
