Clearly you're not a big Woody Allen Film.. If you were, that would site many questions. My question is, what would a big Woody Allen FAN look like? Would it be a ceiling fan with a Woody Allen face? Or would it be stand up oscillating fan?? You know, turning side to side, like it was telling a joke?...

If you didn't like this movie. Then you don't like Woody Allen. If you don't like Woody Allen. Then, well, you don't like Woody Allen. And not liking Woody Allen, speaks volumes of the person you are. Someone who doesn't like Woody Allen.
P.S. I like Woody Allen.

Such a GOOD movie. Whenever I watch Woody Allen films, most of the way through I'm thinking "Okay, yeah, this is pretty good I guess" and then when it's all over, I'm all of a sudden just like "WOW!" Woody Allen and I have a strange relationship. Anyway, it is such a simple film about love but it was just so.. real. Loved it! Okay, I seriously need to get to bed.

Woody has never been a huge idol of mine and consequently I've never rabidly sought out his movies. But after reading the RT Forum and all the people on it talking about Annie Hall, I decided I needed to see this. Lucky for me the DVD rental shop had it.

I was not disappointed. I really liked Woody's standup act, especially at the Stevenson rally.

"I'm not really a political comedian, so I don't understand why they hired me for this thing. I did once date a woman who was working in the Eisenhower administration and it occurred to me as ironic that I was trying to do to her what Eisenhower's been doing to the country for the past eight years."

The "breaking of the fourth wall" - where he talks to the camera - was all pretty good stuff, too, especially where Woody is standing in line at the theater and the guy behind him is annoying him. Then he brings out Marshall McLuan.

Still, I had to give Christopher Walken the rating for this film, as his little bit about wanting to drive into the headlights of the oncoming car was one of the best scenes in the film.
