This movie is fucking great. I've heard some people say that the movie uses a lot of stereotypes, but if people didn't live up to those stereotypes then why would they exist? The movie was simply being real. Finally a film that captures the reality of high school, instead of all your bullshit "Saved by The Bells"-ish sitcoms and bullshit teen comedy movies. All the actors were top-notch and one has to wonder what the hell this is doing on TV and why it isn't Big-screen movie. The music fitted the movie perfectly. So I'm giving this a 10/10, for technically being a teen movie that wasn't shallow, wasn't vain and actually had meaning & purpose.

Well I thought this was going to be a really fun weekend. I had a bunch of things planned. Nate has both Saturday & Sunday off which is unheard of. But instead he decided to go out with his friends on Friday night until 4:00am, and felt too ill all weekend to do anything but lay around. I was surprised he even came over. i think he ended up coming over because he hates going grocery shopping and he knew I had food for him. :) Well that and his roommate didn't pay the cable bill and he only gets one channel. hehe. So we layed around and watched a bunch of movies. We watched Bang Bang you're Dead, which i really loved. It's about this regular guy who gets bullied by these obnoxious jocks and from that day on he spirals into despair, and fantasizes about getting revenge on the school, kind of like Columbine. It's really well done, and amazingly it ends really hopeful. I like when a movie presents a problem, but just doesn't have the message be, "life sucks". It didn't have a specific answer but it showed that things could be helped if you were willing to listen. There was this super powerful scene where they show a video that the main charcter made documenting what it's like to be him. It was very intense. Anyway it's worth seeing.

I enjoyed this movie alot. It showed how cruel school and people can be. It showed how deeply a mean nickname can effect you. I would reccomend it.

This was a film that I had never heard of, but was recommended to me by someone at work. I was very satisfied with the experience and was glad that I have seen it.
The story is about a guy who was suspended from school the year before, because he threatened to blow up the football team. Well the film starts off on the following year and he is getting picked on more and more. So some people think he will do it again. His drama teacher discovers this play Bang Bang.... and asks him to play the lead. The play is about a guy that shoots his parents and 5 students. So now the whole town is in an uproar over this guy in this play.
I really liked the way this was done. The acting was a little weak. Also the ending could have been better but overall I really enjoyed it. I definitely think it's worth seeing.

It's the story of my life, and explains exactly what I was always trying to express as a teen. It's sad this shit still really happens to kids, being bullied drives teens to suicide attempts and murder sprees sometimes and it should end. "people should listen more carfully to why teens are distrucive and not just punish them for being an outcast".

kyle's Big Thought!

Bang Bang Youre Dead is an awesome movie and i think at some point in their pethetic lives everyone should see this movie. It deals with animosity and suicide (two completely awesome subjects!!!) Slc Punk is also an awesome movie. Stevo, Heroin Bob, and Sean rock hard. Sandy sucks ass!

this movie takes an intense, detailed look at high school bullying, social hierarchy and the potential violent consequences.. the plot in a nutshell centers on a student treated as a pirriah by his peers after threatening to bomb the school.. we pick up his journey far along his tormented path, but are eventually brought back to the initial incident which set him off.. while dealing with his demons, he is cast as the lead in a play about a school shooting, which causes an uproar in the school and community...the storytelling and acting are believable and unlike elephant's passive look at a school day ending in chaos and murder, this film takes the viewer right into the mind of a tormented youth and offers a front row seat to the hell some students call school.. i liked both movies and am fascinated by the subject matter, but i preferred this one slightly. both are quality films and i appreciate their disparities

This movie calls attention to an issue all too often passed off as harmless. I grew to care about the character of Trevor and experience his torment as my own. An important film for teens to increase awareness of the consequences of their actions and reactions alike.

It is rare that I can ever say a movie brings a tear to my eye and to be honest, I didnt originally think this would either. The tale of the outlander bullied by the jocks of the school at first rang as cliche'd and tired, until our leads started showing that they were really exploring every angle of thier complex characters.

I am a school teacher by trade and sometimes the stress of the job stops me from seeing what goes on around me. This movie was a major wake Up call and I think everyone involved with teenagers should see it.

The film isnt always technically perfect, there is some cliched and unbelievable acting. The music is as selective as the made for tv budget would allow(I thought creed didnt exist anymore).
These are small faults in the face of such an open minded, thought provoking achievement as this film presents. For the first time we are not bombarded with opinions of school violence which offer no hope. This film rubs your face in the hell that some teenagers go through but also gives us a feeling that with dedication and open ears and eyes we can all do something to help the situation.
