@dopilus Exactly. I had no clue that this was a true story, and I liked it that way. It was beautiful well done film.
A Must see. 11+/10 Cheers...
I would have missed something wonderful!
Ok still think about if I had not watched the movie previously I would NOT watch it now!?
Knowing the main character might have erm d**d even sometime after film this is a spoiler for me????
I would never watch it now?? Perhaps I am a small percent but still think about users walking in and reading this now... some of us dont want to know a thing about flick other then the plot? So happy I watched it esp for the beautiful scenery, because if I read any of this Id have something wonderful!!!!
Ohhh! That makes sense. So, no spoilers. Good ;-). But re the situation, very sad. There have been several deaths at Mavericks and in the SC and Bay area from surfing, falls into the ocean, people trying to save loved ones and dogs, etc., from sneaker waves. Still, there's something magical about the ocean, about watching the waves, the surfing (for me) and surfing itself (for the surfers, I guess that's self evident). Can't wait to watch this movie! :-) Thanks for the clarification. AND @Movie_Madness321, apologies for saying you'd posted a spoiler when you hadn't. It looked like one to me without BMA's input, but glad it's not and that I was wrong. ;-).
Sorry about that! I finished the movie early.. I actually checked on wikipedia that's where it says he died.. i'm not really sure if its in the movie or not.. but since its based on a true story it's more likely it is..
And by the way, that's really awesome!! I would totally love to see that!! That's sounds really cool.
I've been lucky enough to see the Mavericks contest a few times. It's amazing--the beauty of the surfers; They're like gymnasts, acrobats, dancers and human seals all wrapped up into one. It's also scary. There's a reason you're never supposed to turn your back on the ocean when on a beach. Anyway, the comments here have make me want to check out this movie, including the first part of your comment...but, please, no spoilers for those of us who haven't seen the movie yet. Just in case you're new and don't know about it, there's a Forum on Solar, and it's the best place to discuss spoiler-type info...
I don't know why but surfing movies tend to be good and I do not surf. This surf-movie was good. 7/10
I had no idea this was a true
Watched it last night. Really quite good. But of the 2 recent true story surfer movies I prefer Soul Surfer slightly over this one
Deffinitly made me smile one minute and tear the next. Enjoyed this movie a ton loved it! Deffinitly recommend!
