1994 was a very strange year for Bruce Willis. He participated in the masterpiece that was, and still is, Pulp Fiction, and also lent his talents to two of the worst-reviewed films that year: the underrated delightful family comedy North, and this film, an awful entry into the Basic Instinct genre. Color of Night is filled with bad acting, writing and directing, and a ridiculously convoluted plot, with an ending that just plain stinks. Erotic thrillers are supposed to be fun, not laughably stupid. Dressed to Kill was fun. Body Double was fun. Even Basic Instinct was fun (but very aggrevating). This is trash; a thrill-less thriller that should have stayed on paper instead of being rather unfortunately transferred to celluloid. *1/2 (out of ****) D+
3.75/10
Some scenes are so bad they actually turn out to be funny and cultish, but if you really wanna see it, do it for Bruce Willis because he shows everything.

5.5/10. This is best known for being a notoriously bad film and a flop, mostly so for Bruce Willis' nude scenes, but whatever the case, it isn't all that bad. There are some tense and interesting scenes and some nice cinematography. It did have some slow parts, but I found it watchable.
quite a bad film only redeemed by march who is sexy as the femme fatale. willis isn't too bad in the lead but the film is dark and ultimately uninteresting. could of been much more but sadly comes of as corney and boring.
