One of my favorites Sandra Bullock is soooo pretty in this.

(I watched this last night as part of the Quest.)

I think everyone will agree that this movie is silly. But that doesn't mean it can't be one of my favourite movies, right? Action, violence, comedy, romance all wrapped up into one by a terrible performance by Sylvester Stallone. I hate the guy, and yet this is still a wonderful movie! I guess that says something about it.. or something about me. ;) Chris and I both agree that this movie would get a 10.0 / 10.0 if John Spartan had been played by Ahhnold instead. Oh well, you can't have everything! I do love me some Wesley Snipes, though.

I saw this film on either "CBS" or "NBC". I saw this film a few years back on telivision. I like the film and its futureistic theme. It is a very good film.

This is nothing deep, it's not important or significant, you don't have to be intelligent to watch it. Simple mindless fun. It has some good dashes of humor thrown in, lots of action, great special effects. It's very entertaining.

They had to have TBS in mind when they made this movie. Couple horrid, stilted dialogue with lots of action, throw in a weird mix of actors and creative bleeping-out of blue language and you've formed an instant SuperStation classic. Which is why, perhaps, I've been strangely compelled to watch it no less than three times when it's been airing on TBS...including tonight.

I feel kinda bad rating this movie so low, because this is one of those movies that's bad enough to actually be entertaining, even if most of the fun is unintentional. Watching Sandra Bullock manage to get those lines out while keeping a straight face is fun...as is watching Dennis Leary play a rebel savior in a brave new world. And Sly and Snipes are so over the top it's hilarious. What a cast...Bullock, Stallone, Snipes, Leary, Benjamin Bratt, Rob Schneider...it seems to be a cast for a comedy, but the movie never seems to figure out exactly what genre it wants to join...here it's trying to be funny, there it's trying to be an action flick, and over there it's trying to be societal commentary...accomplishing nothing but unintentional hilarity.

A Hugh Grant movie that I love? Whoa...Still good because of the neutral party (Arkin). The other two aren't fleshed out sufficiently.Cheesy one-liners and cheesy action! I miss Stallone's action movies.Playful whodunnit. Boy, was I wrong when I thought The butler was the killer.
