Why do "not-so-good" movies sometimes get such a great soundtrack?
The score by Trevor Rabin for Deep Blue Sea is again awesome...

I watched Driven yesterday. It's an alright movie. I mean, lets face it, most movies about racing are simply dreadful.

And just a note: Many of the car sponsors and drivers are no longer with Champ Car. Such as Michael Andretti, Adrian Fernandez, Dario Franchitti and Max Papis, just to name a few. Most of them have switched to the IRL circuit.

They're big, they're loud, they're dumb, they have bubblegum logic, and chances are they're a helluva lot of fun to watch. These sort of films rely on your eyes and ears to entertain you( brains need not apply ), and what is a thrill ride if not to do just that? Those who psycho-analyse and intellectually poke and prod these kind of films ironically miss the point altogether. They're popcorn films made simply to entertain. Sorry fellow scholars and paid critics, but the joke is on you.

4.5/10. Way too long and surprisingly unexciting, even with the racing theme and numerous car wrecks. The photography is very good, and many sequences are well edited, but quite simply, it is boring. Sylvester Stallone's mumbling only makes things worse, he is very hard to understand.

Harlin's mess of a movie. Not much here to recommend. Stallone's script is awful and is suprising that this is the same who wrote Rocky.

Sylvester Stallone is a race car driver who's past mistakes and accidents haunt him, but he is eager to get back to driving when he is asked to return, but, he must agree to help with the new young hot driver (Kip Pardue).

Not too bad for Stallone standards, but still fairly routine.
