People tend to over think this movie too much. For a movie to be based off of a childrens cartoon series I think it was done pretty damn well. There is not a ton of plot or story its just a typical action movie with catch phrases. But sometimes maybe that's all you need. Sometimes we just want to see action, kick ass men, and hot ass woman. The plot can just come second. All in all its a decent film and worth the watch. The over anal-yst below me obviously prefer something more of the lines of sex in the city 2.

Someones put a 'tap' on my brain and syphoning off my child hood 80's T.V fantastique!! Next there will be a film of Lego, 5,4,3,2,1 bars and a re-remake of He-man!

just saw the superBowl Commercial for G.I. JOE and it looks fuken awesome! they say only shity movies come out in Aug. but hopefuly this is the begining of GOOD movies coming out that month

i can't belive i totally called this one.
when my nephew asked me what i was gunna give this flick
i told him it would be an 80% to which he said

"you liked HARRY POTTER MORE"

and i was like OH SHIT!!!

i did like harry potter more (gave the fucker a 100%)
so i had to explaine to him...
more like talk him out of that fukken death stare
the little fucker was dogg'en my way...
shee'et .. little fucker better recognize.....

ah, but i digress..
so i explained to him that when we had gone to see harry potter
i wasn't expecting a gat damn thang and what i got was fucking awesome...
two hours of just magic and shit..
harry potter had once again blew me away and i was not expecting that without alfonso curon behind the fucking camera,
so it was a nice surprise....

unlike G.I. JOE
which i was expecting the heavens themselves to be handed down to me for my inner 10 year old to feast on...
and what i got was a movie that basically had its actors do all the cool shit that i would do with my g.i.JOE'S when i was younger,
such as jump on cars , have super human strength , and jump real high and shit...

but i wonder what happened ..
did they throw more money at it as it was wrapping up..
did they piss off a director who knows what hes doing with action, i mean hellow, mummy II anyone..

what was missing in this flick... maybe it was .. the magic...

Was an awesome movie, saw a pre-screening of it mid-april. Not allowed to talk about any of the stuff due to the paper I had to sign. But I guarantee you this, it is an AWESOME movie. You will not be disappointed!

My favorite movie of the summer, i grew up with the acion figures so that helped me love the movie even more. Gi joe is just a movie thats meant to entertain and provide the audience with fun; its not trying to be anything that its not. A definite must watch.

this is gonna be one of the worst movies in years. likely worse than the new transformers movie

G.I. Joe the action figure was a great big seller for boys in America, similarly Action Man was very popular here in Britain. G.I. Joe was more of a gadget man who had very well armed jeeps with fancy rockets and flying gadgets. The flying suits of G.I. Joe are very impressive and I'm positive this will be a box office hit. Cobra is an arch nemesis of the G.I. Joe's military organisation and their plot against the planet is very serious, without G.I. Joe I do not know where we'd all be. Big up to G.I. Joe against the battle of the evil slippery snake Cobra.
