@wchedemall; I really, really, really hope I never have to find out. ;) I will let Mel experience it for me in the movies. Which, he does a great job of. Enjoyed this flick a lot....really good role for Gibson.

@wchedemall You got that right!! Mel was SPOT On in this Flick! Just absolutely Brilliant acting by all member's of the cast. Loads of action along with some romance and some fun.
Penguin gives this movie a big Wings up! 9.7/10

I LIKED IT AGAIN...mel gibson makes good movies...for an earlier, somewhat obscure good one, watch PAYBACK. maria bello plays in it as well. GREAT LINE..."put it back".

Pleasantly surprised by this one. Only watched it because there was absolutely nothing else to do and I went into it expecting to be disappointed. Instead, it was well-written, well-acted, and kept my interest the whole time. Really enjoyed it and highly recommend watching it. Great action/drama

A LOT better than I thought it would be, considering this movie went straight to video. Mel Gibson is very good (and surprisingly likable) as the main character, an American thief caught and incarcerated in a most unusual Mexican prison. Humerous dark comedy and interesting story with lots of action and violence to keep your attention. Solid entertainment, good weekend movie. Mel's still got star power, albeit he looks a bit worse for wear in this one. I'd give it a 8.5/10

First, The Beaver disappointed and now Get the Gringo. Mel Gibson has really fallen on hard times in his career. Hopefully, he can get back to directing soon.
