It's like a painful hangnail that you just can't help but pull. Fearless and merciless, this dark comedy is an indictment of American culture. Who would have thought Bobcat Goldthwait would have such a knack for writing and directing. You might have to go watch something like "Glory" after this one, to restore your faith in mankind.

ghastly business but it needed to be done.

kudos for mr. bob goldwhait(the writer and director)I always knew his talents were latents and they finally showed up.

Too preachy in the end, but quite a different ride to start out. About the making of a spree killer where you kind of like the killer. Lots of violence. Around a 7 out of 10 because of lost preachy points.

Disturbing from the get go, hard to watch, hard to swallow little pill of cinema at its best.
You might or might not agree with what Frank and Roxy characters think. But you HAVE to hear what they have to say.
And you might or might not like this movie, but you HAVE to watch it. Mostly, because we all need to hear things like this.
And just to be absolutely clear about this, I'm not saying that Frank and Roxy are right, nor aprove them either. I think we, as a society, need to understand the point they are trying to make in order to avoid becoming as ethically and morally numb as they are. I think the message, if any, is that we must not wait until we have all gone sociopathic to realize there might be something really wrong with the world we have made for ourselves...
All in all, a "must watch" movie.

A very dark comedy that makes for uncomfortable viewing at times (particularly after recent events in Colorado), but the leads are excellent and the film bluntly makes some very valid points about (the decline of) Western civilisation
