Description:
In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, addicted gang biker Sam Childs is released from prison and learns that his wife Lynn is no longer a stripper but has converted to Christianity. One night, Sam and his best friend Donnie give a ride to a hitchhiker who threatens Donnie with a pocketknife; however Sam reacts and turns the tables on the stranger. Sam is affected by the incident and is convinced by Lynn and his mother Daisy to join their church, and he is baptized. Sam finds a straight job in construction. When he meets a preacher from Africa, he decides to visit the country. Sam travels to Northern Uganda and South Sudan many times and builds an orphanage for the victims of the cruel Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). Further, he fights whenever necessary and becomes a legend known as The Machine Gun Preacher.

Wow I kept skipping over this for sometime and seen all the wonderful comments and positive feedback figured to throw it on. I tell ya what I am deffinitly glad I did that was a very touching movie. Loved it.. 10/10

This was a fantastic movie, despite some low reviews I'd seen. For those of us who don't really stay in touch with global news, it's a real eye opener to the horrible things that are out there. I totally agree with the way he handles things too. Often the only answer to violence, is violence in return.

I liked the movie but some parts made me fall asleep.

Great movie.

While watching this movie, I was reminded of something my mother said when looking at all the animals that need homes but are put down every year. You can't save them all.
I felt the same way watching this and Sam's frustration trying. Thing is, with people that think the way Childers does, we go in trying, we fight, we do what we can and we have big hearts. Kony could and would never win with people like this. Maybe we can't save them all, but we're sure gonna try. Such an excellent movie. I had been wanting to see this for quite some time but there were never links.
Funny how there are links very quickly to some of the dumbest movies made but when a great film like this comes out, it takes forever to get it posted.
Well worth the wait. Great story and a fight that will be won some day. If you're hesitating to watch this, don't. It's fantastic.

this is the second best movie of the year first is anonymous to me but this movie had tears coming out of me and i didnt expect it. Its a true story and its gut wrentching, i think it finds a little part of each of us, the part of where we were going threw a hard time and pulls that out. And it shows you that you can turn around, it was the second best movie of 2011 and got no attention how sad.
