Hilarious. I loved it.

This movie blows chunks. I mean what a piece of crap. The only thing I can be thankful for is I didn't waste money seeing it in the theater. I just caught it on tv, and I hope I never even see a clip of it again.

Some movies rely on great special effects and crowd drawers, such as will smith in Independence Day. This dark comedic masterpiece is the modern Doctor Strangelove. It's tactics are less mind blowing, yes but it's fun. For instance in destroying monsters they use a slim whitman album. Martians not only don'thave sympathy they are cruelly comedic men. Fun for the sick and twisted

You can't have a comedy without somebody to be the butt of the joke, right? Mars Attacks' shortcoming is that it makes fun of everybody except for the awkward, lonely kid who ends up saving the day. Anybody who can't laugh at themselves runs the risk of hating this movie for what it says about them. I find it really interesting that people continue to point to Mars Attacks as the worst movie they've ever seen. A user on Yahoo recently pointed to The Happening as the only worse movie.

This is incredible to me as I found Mars Attacks to be one of the best lampoons of humanity's many characters, the gullible (politicians meeting with the aliens), the ignorant (rednecks), the greedy (Colin Powell, Jack Nicholson's entrepreneur character), and so on. All the characters in the movie were so ridiculous and self-absorbed. It convinces me that people who hate this movie are the same as the characters in the movie and either they can somehow see that the movie is making fun of them or they don't see the joke because they themselves fumble through their lives of comical failure and they don't appreciate somedoy making light of it.

Mars Attacks was an outstanding movie. If you don't like it you're a dullard, a simpleton, a doorknob, or are perhaps a little too sensitive about your faults. We might be at the top of the food chain, but we are far from perfect. Get used to it and learn to laugh at yourself, you'll find that you'll enjoy your life a lot more.

Mars Attacks is a simple comedy intended to recreate monster movies of the past. If one actually takes the time to think about it in this way, the hokey gags become worthwhile. Ed Wood and all other famed monster movie creators would have applauded this movie.

This film has everything you'd want in a film in general; Tim Burton as the director, Danny Elfman as the soundtrack creator, and an all-star cast, including Michael J. Fox, Pierce Bronsan, and Jack Nicholson as the president of the United States. How could you possibly go wrong?

Well, people are going to kill me for this, but I couldn't get into this film. I know I'm not supposed to take it seriously and that it's a spoof of the older sci-fi films, but compared to Monsters vs. Aliens, Mars Attacks is more cheesy in the negative, unbearable way than in the funny way.

It's bizarre, senseless, and downright weird, but Mars Attacks! manages to pull through as a fun, mindless comedy.

This will find an audience with those of a very specific sense of humor. To all others, it is almost painful to sit through.

Not a Burton favorite but still packs in a few laughs and some sweet action scenes.
