Not a fan of remakes but this one has always been my favorite. It is the right kind of "scary" movie. In such a short amount of time they really make you feel like you can relate with all the characters. Leather face and his family are all the right kind of evil. I would say anyone who hasn't watched this movie you should.

Personally I didn't care for their take on Leather Face. But I wouldn't detour anyone from watching it and forming their own opinions on it. Leather Face is suppose to heartless and unmerciful. I think I expected a lot more from the film, being that some great minds were involved with it.

shocking but very well done, sensitive subject handled as a Shakespearean tragedy from which the title takes its inspiration.

I think if you are a Matthew McConaughey fan you have to watch this movie. It's one of the better TCM movies in my opinion. Honestly it's not really "scary" but it is entertaining.
