Kiki's Delivery Service (1989)

A heart warming tale about a 13 yr old witch who has to go live in a city for a year to learn new skills and magic. And we are treated to see how she makes new friends, finds a job and struggles with balancing work and a social life. Lots of subtle moments within the stories that give a really enriching experience and depth to characters. One of the best studio gibli stories. Everyone should give it a go! Brilliant for all ages!

Come on, let's give The Rock a chance to flex his acting muscles in a more thoughtful role! Not quite up there yet with The Stath, but better than the likes of Stallone, Seagal, Diesel etc. Worth a look.

I agree with most of the things JunoSkyra says in her comments. The Wizard of Oz was always going to be a very hard act to follow (or is that advance?). Although I like Sam Raimi as a director, this film is overlong, and lacks the magic and charm of The Wizard of Oz, in part due to the overabundance of CGI. However, it's not a bad film and it does have some nice touches, plus the quality of the copy I watched was superb. MANCMOVIEMUNCHKIN

I thought that this was going to be more an adult themed satire on current movies ~ Kinda is except geared towards a younger audience. Enjoyed "Spy vs Spy"...
