The pilot is what did it for me too. Most of us wanted the Red John mystery to become the hook in most of the episodes. The network keeps us from looking into him, often. I have also felt that, as I am not sure if it is just me, that there is a long stand between episodes.

I've never cared for "The Rock" as an actor, thought he was hella cheesy in almost everything he's in but he actually did pretty good in this one and seems to be getting better, hopefully he keeps it up. Either way was a good movie worth a watch.
