Beautiful Creatures (2013)
by
MsPotato,
4 minutes agoI've seen this movie twice because I really wanted to like it. Alas, it has failed to please me either time. I've enjoyed very slow paced dramas, many a movie about witchcraft or sorcery, sappy and/or comedic love stories, etc., point being that I enjoy a wide range of movies. But I've yet to find anything compelling in this movie, and it makes me a little sad. I love the idea of it -- a movie about witchcraft and sorcery set in the South, a movie where love might overcome both human and mystical odds. Like another user said, I also never felt a connection to these characters. I didn't feel as if they grew throughout the movie. This movie truly left me wanting so much more...a paltry 3 out of 10 stars. That said, many of the critic's reviews were positive. My viewpoint may be in the minority. So, you might like it. And the good news is that there are now DVD links. Watch if it strikes you. And if you do like it, please post a review. I'd love to hear what others enjoy about the movie.

Do No Harm (2012)
by
MsPotato,
1 hour agoAnd another one has come back to life, at least for to air the rest of the season. Do No Harm will air the remaining 11 episodes beginning 29June. May be of particular interest to @tekunerd03 @hollandann @Flicker2013 @coyotebleu @mantis666 @shadowsiren and @dileniaM For me, this was a case of so bad it was interesting. Curious to see what made the crazy doctor the way he is, as someone else noted below. So, am happy they're going to air the remaining episodes.
Cult (2013)
by
MsPotato,
2 hours agoWelll, while this obviously wasn't the most popular of shows, for those who are curious about how the season ends, the remainder of the series will air beginning 28June in three two-hour blocks. May be of particular interest for @poopcorn @kac2868 @coyotebleu and @hollandann who seem to have liked it from comments below. Also, @Flicker2013, just fyi in case you see any Cult links floating around prior to 28June. :) Again, I know, not the best show. But I am glad they're going to let us see the remainder of the season! And, of course, @panty_hampster -- I know this was your absolute favorite :).

Well, the theory started with one movie, then it was decided to film two movies worth of footage. after reviewing the footage, it was Jackson that decided to film enough for three movies, so that he could include characters and stories from the LoTR appendicies, and similarion. I believe it was more honest than mere milking, a fan's honest attempt to expand the world for the viewers.
