I thought this was a well done addition to the mythos of Superman. It had a plethora of noteworthy actors, good direction and visualization. It can be called another 'origins' story, but this time around it took cues from the cannon that has developed concerning aspects of Superman's life that was not developed 30 years ago, the same way that the Superman I had expanded on information that was developed since the incarnation of Action Comics, and George Reeves' TV series.
They took cues from the already established movies, 30 years of comics, and the two series; Lois&Clark, and Smallville. This alone warranted another 'origin' story, as even Zod himself has been fleshed out with more personality and story, giving him a cause that paints him as patriot, rather than a two dimensional evil mastermind(+2) that we saw in the original film incarnation.

That is an excellent point about it being a set-up, especially with Nolan involved. With this making the money it is, we can only guess as to the next two. If the structure remains the same, we should see him face the one who really gets under his skin, then the one with the power to defeat him. I'm thinking Luthor, then Doomsday...

eh, i've seen better. i wouldn't recommend this movie per-say, but i have seen plenty better purges in my neighborhood. 3/10 bc i can't act n neither can they. sad

Since no one's commented I will. This is a movie along the lines of The Strangers. Not too bad of a scary movie and if you have a chance to check it out it's not too bad of a watch. Nice little concept.

@uunio I thought the same thing. It sounded like a good movie but I just couldn't get excited, I watched about 5 minutes before I gave up.
