I love this show, what a great creepy show, I have only watched a few episodes but cannot wait to see where this is going, blood, hot chicks, super powers, what else could a deadface want, rating 8.6, oh and it has werewolfs and other monsters, this is a great watch for all the deadface fans.

Unfortunately you're correct. It is just another cop show with the occasional references to Sherlock Holmes.
Please do not get mad at me for this comment folks? If you like this show, that's fine... I just personally believe it is not worth all the hype?
So often in this, Sherlock just knows the answers but that is not what Conan-Doyle made him as.
