I thought Michael Shannon did a fine job as Zod. He brought that inner-conflicted power, duty, and guilt thing straight over from Boardwalk Empire. I think it gave him more depth and credibility to his reasoning.

10 minutes agoIncredibly under-rated movie. It's a horror... and a black comedy... and a Western. It's tense, gory and humorous. The haunting soundtrack is superb and the locations are stunning. Guy Pierce and Robert Carlyle have never been better. Not suitable for vegetarians. ;-)

24 minutes agoWell, just finished another go around with this one. It is soooo hard to put into mere words. The complex story line is brought with imagery and a narrative that wrap it like an electric blanket. This is one of those movies that take you on a ride, and it starts off by getting in your head and hooking you by the brain stem. It is written with intelligence, and filmed in a way that keeps your attention as it winds up towards a very worthy climax.
If you haven't seen this yet, it will surprise you with each turn, and keep your sense of wonder every single minute. If you have already seen it, the next time you do will be with a sense of enlightenment and awe at the sheer audacity of the well written insanity, and the sublime sense in which it is delivered.
This is definitely a one-of-a-kind movie, standing on it's own rock in a sea of failed attempts at creativity. In the first minute, you can tell that it was made with a singular vision, as if the director and camera men were in synchronicity, actually seeing the finished product through the lens as they filmed.
If you haven't seen it, try it. If you have, revisit it.

1 hour agoAwww, a zombie movie with a heart, or a Rom-Zom perhaps?! The requisite amounts of suspense and humour, and good performances from the cast. You would have to be one of the undead if this movie fails to warm your heart.

2 hours ago@Slapmybytch If there was ever a show made secretly made for stoners than this show would be it, lets just say you become fine tuned with Walter Bishop and his character makes a heckuva lot more sense. When he's munchin on twizzlers, or making crazy food combinations or just his awe of the crazy side of science. It was so hard for me to watch the last few seasons after i quit smoking cause all i wanted to do was well ya know and make that interesting again. This is one of my favorite Sci Fi shows of all time, and Walter Bishop is one of my fav characters of all time. I wish I could enjoy this show for the first time when all seasons were already out! lucky bleep! '..'
