The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) by jackob125, 4 minutes ago @Darthintrepid I can see where you're coming from but you have to see that there is a difference between making a film which mirrors the greatness of a book which, lets be honest, is a favourite of countless generations and simply milking it for all that it is worth. There was no need to make 3 films 2 would have been sufficient to tell this story brilliantly and this was in fact the original plan. Now at times the film simply feels like it is filling in for time and there are quite a few scenes that are simply unnecessary and this is coming from a person who has loved this book for 15 years. I also have to say it isn't a "huge" book compared to LOTR its really very short. To put it into perspective I was able to read it at the age of 5 in the space of a week. Don't get me wrong though I do love the world of Middle Earth and all the wonders that go along with it and I think Martin Freeman simply IS The Hobbit. But this film still lacks something. I don't know I suppose it's simply that it could never compete with the original LOTR trilogy. One can only hope that the introduction of Benedict Cumberbatch will change my view.

As they begin, she is attacked by a fanatic assassin employing a bizarre organic gun. She flees with a young marketing trainee, Ted Pikul, who is...

Kiki's Delivery Service (1989) by starverse, 2 hours ago A heart warming tale about a 13 yr old witch who has to go live in a city for a year to learn new skills and magic. And we are treated to see how she makes new friends, finds a job and struggles with balancing work and a social life. Lots of subtle moments within the stories that give a really enriching experience and depth to characters. One of the best studio gibli stories. Everyone should give it a go! Brilliant for all ages!
The Transporter (2002) by imyour_Destiny, 3 hours ago , Great action movie. Jason Statham is the best actor in this!.
Remember Sunday (2013) by Poupee, 3 hours ago Loved it. Gosh, the ending was horrible I think we could've used 5more mins to close it off properly :)
Snitch (2013) by mancmovieman, 4 hours ago Come on, let's give The Rock a chance to flex his acting muscles in a more thoughtful role! Not quite up there yet with The Stath, but better than the likes of Stallone, Seagal, Diesel etc. Worth a look.
Warm Bodies (2013) by kksean89, 4 hours ago This is a very beautiful movie ,and what a mindblowing performance by Nicholas Hoult ..a must see..i give it a 8/10
Oz the Great and Powerful (2013) by mancmovieman, 4 hours ago I agree with most of the things JunoSkyra says in her comments. The Wizard of Oz was always going to be a very hard act to follow (or is that advance?). Although I like Sam Raimi as a director, this film is overlong, and lacks the magic and charm of The Wizard of Oz, in part due to the overabundance of CGI. However, it's not a bad film and it does have some nice touches, plus the quality of the copy I watched was superb. MANCMOVIEMUNCHKIN
