You know it. I really don't understand why people complain. I read a complaint where the guy went so far as to accuse the studios of sapping his money, because they couldn't make just one movie. I think the Lord of the Rings trilogy is a rare phenomenon, and I'm glad that they chose to make this just as epic. The book is huge, and divided into three parts. It would have been a shame to cram all of that story into just one film.
And of course, you have the complainers that criticize the differences between the two mediums. They don't understand that a book can not become a movie, that it can only be a base for cinematic story telling.

I enjoy his movies, it's a shame that his schedule conflicted with The Hobbit. Pacific rim looks like it's going to be awesome.
Pain & Gain (2013)
by
starverse,
1 hour agoi heard during pre screening the producers took 2 dvds in with them for testing purposes. On 1 dvd was a film about a person with diarrhea and on the other dvd, it had this movie. After the test subjects had watched each movie, they were then told 1 had been about a person with a bad stomach. 90% of 60% couldn't tell "pain & gain" from "pain & squirts". Its also true the movie was loosely based on loose bowel movement. FACT.
