25 minutes ago@snipe996 ... I wasn't complaining about the fact that it was a cliffhanger -- I was criticizing the way* said cliffhanger was executed. In other words the finale didn't meet the expectations I'd developed via my reverence for the show. Comparatively speaking, the whole episode felt sloppy, rushed, & cheap.

But it come to a point where you are captivated.
So it wasn't wonderful but still quite interesting

You know it. I really don't understand why people complain. I read a complaint where the guy went so far as to accuse the studios of sapping his money, because they couldn't make just one movie. I think the Lord of the Rings trilogy is a rare phenomenon, and I'm glad that they chose to make this just as epic. The book is huge, and divided into three parts. It would have been a shame to cram all of that story into just one film.
And of course, you have the complainers that criticize the differences between the two mediums. They don't understand that a book can not become a movie, that it can only be a base for cinematic story telling.
