This one is not a good as the first but better then the second. All the faces are here except Julia Robert (even NightFox) and Al Pacino does well as the foe. Again this is in Vegas and another casino is about to have something unusual happen to it!

After a dismal start to a summer that seems to be marketed towards geeky fanboys drooling over confused pirates and superheroes, Ocean's Thirteen whizzes along as a smart and cheeky film--one that delights filmgoers who aren't all that interested in CGI and marketable toy products but snappy dialogue, witty repartee and heady filmmaking techniques. Oddly enough, O13 feels a bit misplaced in a summer filled with fraternity-minded comedies and nerdy threequels. Director Steven Soderbergh, George Clooney and company have fashioned a tart, pure but hardly simple movie among bloated blockbusters. You can't help but notice. O13 is like that one fashionable yet appropriately dressed gal in a picnic filled with girls in jogging outfits and sweats--she's classy and simply stands out among the rest.

At the film's core, this "class act" act is the point of it all, and a rather fine one at that. Soderbergh and the gang remind us how being a class act goes a long way. It's a throwback to the lost art of being a gentlemen, and who would have thought that a bunch of fictional merry thieves would bring that into light?

Perhaps it's too much to ask. After all, this is the summer of pirates, ogres and toy robots. Clooney's Ocean remind's Pacino's Willy that "he shook Sinatra's hand once. You should know better." Definitely a jab at Willy for not having any class.

Too bad. Half the summer moviegoers don't even know who Sinatra is.

The wardrobe for the guys are great, amazing suits. Excellent soudntrack. Really amped up the funny this time, and Damon brought his A game, and just made the audience laugh, really good fo him. Best part of the movie? Garcie on Oprah. That's all I am saying, I was dieing. Really, guys if 12 left a bad taste in your mouth.. well go brush you rmouth because its been what 3 years, thats just dirtay, but seriously its a good time at the theatres, and if the big 3 dissapointed you, this sure as hell won't and its a gem out of the sequels this year.

I was happy to see Ocean's 13 get back to the formula of Ocean's 11. I didn't like the second installment which is why this one, once again set in Las Vegas, was refreshing to see.

Ocean's Thirteen (2007)

This wasn't quite as good as I expected. Ocean's Eleven is my 2nd favorite movie of all time and while many hated Ocean's Twelve I loved it was well even though it was nowhere near the level of the first movie. While it's probably a better movie than Ocean's Twelve, I just didn't think it was anywhere near as fun as the previous two. At times it seemed like to much was going on and the focus was too much on the "heist" and less on the characters, many of which I felt didn't get nearly enough screen time.

Ocean's 13 is probably the most fun you can have at the movies this summer. It's the kind of movie where you just sit there and think, Wow, I wish I could hang out with these guys. The whole cast seems so comfortable in their roles that it's almost as if they're not acting, they just got together to fool around and to have a good time. That's not to say they aren't believable, because they are. Each member of the cast delivers in a tremendous way, and it's through their combined efforts (along with the efforts of a truly talented crew) that this movie goes far beyond the call of duty and delivers a summer movie that's completely worth your money.

I never saw Ocean's 11. Instead, I started this franchise with Ocean's 12, which was panned by critics but which I found to eb an enjoyable albeit flawed heist movie. I really enjoyed 12, maybe because I hadn't seen the first. After seeing this third entry, I'm definitely going to be picking up 11 soon.

What really gets me about this movie is the brilliant plot. The plans Ocean's gang comes up with are truly astounding, and it's exhilirating to see their complicated plan put into action and to try to figure out the vaguer details of the big picture (which are ultimately revealed if you can't). I would love to be able to write a movie or book with such a rich and exciting plot, where everything just fits together perfectly and works.

Of course, a great plot would be nothing if the players weren't up to par. That's not a problem here. As always, there are a tremendous number of huge stars here, losing a few (Catherine Zeta-Jones and Julia Roberts) and gaining some (most notably Al Pacino). The chemistry between the characters shows how much fun these actors were having and makes the whole movie a joy to watch. Seeing Matt Damon's character Linus step up was really great, and I always love watching Brad Pitt and George Clooney together (Is George Clooney a modern-day reincarnation of Cary Grant? Their first and last initials are reversed...please let me pretend that means something). Pacino is fantastic as the villain, a jerky hotel owner who screws over one of Danny's own. I loved seeing Don Cheadle's comedic turn as a bike stuntsman-those teeth were gross but the scene was awesome. I also have to mention Casey Affleck, who fills in his part as Virgil with as much talent as before.

Everything else just works, too. The cinematrography, sets, and costumes (especially Pacino's...he has some awesome suit/tie combos) all bring it home. Plus the score is one of the most infectious and fitting I've heard this year.

Overall, Ocean's 13 is one of the best movies of the year thus far and is undoubtedly worth seeing, even if you haven't seen the others.

The best of the three "Part 3" movies ive seen this summer. I liked oceans 11 better, but this was better than 12.

Be warned the plot is very convulted and the "set up" for the takedown of Pacino's character takes up the majority of the film. Out of the main trio , I was surprised that Damon came off the best to me and Pitt the worst (he seemed kind of sleep walking through this more so than the other two). Pacino is Pacino, what can you say , some would say he is over the top in most performances nowdays but I really like him

This is a movie to watch to "star gaze" and for moments and little inside and Godfather references and not really worry about plot and plot holes and such. The Oprah bits cracked me up as well .Just sit back and enjoy the ride. You could sense the fun most of the cast was having making this and you should enjoy it.

also watched a 1953 Edward G. Robinson flic called Vice Squad which I give about a 6.5 or 7
