Ahh Reservoir Dogs. My Quentin Tarantino favourite. All of his other works are really good, but this is the best in my opinion. A bloody thrill ride that has become a 90's cult and a Tarantino's surprisingly strong breakthrough.
The plot follows a gang that has done a bank job wich has gone terribly wrong. The story uses retrospective to describe each of robbers on the job, implementing views of their life directly before getting the job slowly catching up with the "main" plot.
The storytelling is done with absolute brilliance, keeping your eyes wide open through the whole 99 minutes. I mean, if there's not any shooting or bloodshed going on, then there are really great dialogues which keep your attention. Whether they are simply thoughtfull and realistic, or they are wickedly funny. I can't remember one sentence that was not spot-on.
The crucial thing about Reservoir Dogs is it's acting crew. Steve Buscemi, Harvey Keitel, Michael Madsen, Tim Roth and Chris Penn. I looove them all. Steve Buscemi being one of my favourite actors gave a role of his lifetime and did it great. Madsen was the cool, but also the deranged one and the role matched him perfectly. Others were just enjoyable to watch, making you believe that they're really in all kinds of troubles and doubts.
Reservoir Dogs stands as a cult, a classic and a role-model for many directors and actors also. I gave it 90% simply because it's only purpose is to entertain you, not to make you think (like all Tarantino's works). But a movie like this does not need that, it knows what it is. If there is any chance some of you haven't seen this, then get it any way you can. It's a sin for a true movie-fan to miss out on this.

Everything about this movie is spectacular. It's virtually flawless its cast, acting, dialogue, choice of music, it could not have been made better. The movie is always doing something, it never drags, you are entertained the whole time you are watching it. I don't think I've ever seen another film to capture as much coolness as this one either, i mean even so much as a still from this movie carries an unexplainable suaveness to it. Honestly, I feel that this movie is ever so slightly underrated, mainly because it's a precursor to "Pulp Fiction". Which, don't get me wrong, I like "Pulp Fiction" too, I just think that where "Reservoir Dogs" is underrated, "Pulp Fiction" is overrated. In conclusion, "Reservoir Dogs" lacked nothing, had everything and it lives up to every positive appraisal it receives which is why it is number one on my list.

Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs is a non-linear dialoue heavy bad guy movie. What I love about it is that he gets right down to the core on each of the main characters. The dialouge is very gritty and watching it makes you feel like you're there as a witness. The way the characters speak makes you feel like you are part of the gang and you're almost rooting for them to succeed.

The soundtrack is very fitting as well. You can tell that QT is very passionate about his music. The music in this movie is a character in itself. Just as it is in each and everyone of his movies.

The blood spattering and the shootouts are ridiculously cool as well.

Great movie to own and to watch again and again.

Exceptionally clever and funny writing and dialogue, spot-on acting, constant profanity, great action, and a surprising halfway-point twist, Quentin Tarantino's debut is one of the most ferocious, bloody, and just plain amazing films ever made.

Hate it or love it. I happen to love it.

While I find it to be unnecessarily violent, the movie is well made, and is one-of a kind. Especially for it's time.

Reservoir Dogs packs the punch as any other Tarantino flick. Its hilarious, wildly creative with crazy carnage. This is Quentin's first film and you can sense that it still feels like a film in progress but that just adds to the mood of the film's unsettling overtone. All the characters have colors for names (Mr. White, Mr. Orange and so on) and are all under the lead of a man and his son to rob a diamond store when everything goes wrong. Harvey Keitel is amazing as the sane yet strange Mr. White. But the acting that can't go unnoticed is Tim Roth as Mr. Orange. I don't want to give too much away for his characters back story but he is fantastic as this character. Some of the violence did make me squeamish (as the legend is from the ear scene) but it doesn't seem that crazy to today's standards. This film is great and will leave you with a great, pumped up feeling and after watching it there will be high fives exchanged all around.
