Like fellow adrenaline-junkie movie "Crank", this movie is all about fast-paced action scenes and excitement. But this one is faster and funnier.

Wow what a great surprise. Inventive action scenes, ultra-dark but hilarious humour, and a deliciously devious and sick Paul Giamatti make Shoot 'Em Up THE guilty pleasure of 2007! Thumbs way up!

Okay so in all reality this movie is a piece of crap. However, I feel that if you watch this movie expecting something silly and over the top and not meant to be taken seriously you have yourself one hell of a ride. This movie has the most ridiculous action sequences and the highest carrot related death as any movie ever made. This movie is worth a watch as long as you aren't expecting anything to be taken seriously.

Clive Owen summons Buster Keaton, mostly while trying to summon Charles Bronson, attempting to bring back the "strong, silent, type" of action hero. The only problem is, this satire of action films in general believes that, as long as the film is unbearably over-the-top, the action junkies will whip out their money to watch this.

I'm a huge action fan. Die Hard ranks as one of my favorite films of all time. But, the thing that kills this film isn't the fact that it may have meant to be funny, it's just that it tries TOO hard to take it too far....and therefore neither shocked or astonished me.

It's neither brutal, it's not sexy, it's not stylish, it's not funny for the most part. it's a movie that just doesnt know where it wants to go, so it ends up looking like a schlocky mess that confused me while I was watching it.

Last Action Hero did the satire to action movie's ten times better, with less brutality and a much better action star.

Without taking an inch of itself seriously, this movie accomplishes the feat of being, action-packed, cinematically-stylish, original, and above all: funny as hell. Eat your vegetables!

Bang bang here, bang bang there. The title is perfect for this film which is perpetually under fire. A man(Clive Owen) sitting somewhere along the streets sees a pregnant woman being chased by another man. The sitting man seek to help the woman and ends up taking care of her newborn baby after the woman's sudden death. And it seems that there's this big shot guy(Paul Giamatti)who's tracking the the infant so he can smash the little thing. Smith, the sitting man's name, went to a gorgeous and uber sexy prostitute(Monica Belluci) to aid him in finding out the mystery of the neonate's situation. I believe that this film intends to satisfy the audience by feeding us with millions of bullets, gunshot holes, and dead bodies. So much for the lead character he doesn't even have a backstory and his name is plainly Smith. Also the script might be a little too dumb for a thinking man to appreciate. But still the film is funny, outrageously violent, and stylishly done. You might like to watch this film if you feel like doing nothing. It's not really a waste of time.

Tons of fun if you don't take it seriously... and believe me, seriousness is not the intention. That would be ACTION.
