This movie suprisingly wasn't too bad. Of course it had hotties Sunny Mabrey, Nastasha Henstridge, and another I don't know the name of....but for a direct-to-cable flick, well...it was entertaining.

I think it was going to be the first of a couple of sequels, so I'm sure this one won't be the last.

I do find it funny how it plays on the fact that every guy the alien girl comes into contact with can't contain himself, believing himself lucky until he realizes what he's got into.

An improvement over the second one, which this film takes place after...(good continuity)...LOL

Species III is like a slap in the face to people who liked the first two. Given that I really hated the second flick, I watched the third with no hope of it being good at all. Hey, I wasn't surprised at how bad it was, but I was surprised that the movie felt more like something that was made specifically for television, instead of say, theatrical release.

The plot was so horrible along with the special effects, and also tag on the fact that the only person that could act in this movie was the main alien chick because, hey, it isn't hard to act like you're an evil, unattached bitch.

The only thing that saved this movie is the fact that the main girl and the bad girl at the end of the flick, were extremely sexy. Nice boobs, and if you pay attention at the beginning you can actually witness the faint outline of the main girls gash. Nice, eh?

Honestly, as a human being that cares, you should avoid this movie like the plague. If you want some nice screenshots of sexiness though, you can totally survive this movie.

A pretty cool sci-fi movie. The acting was perfect, espcially Sunny, who did a great job as Sara. They also added a funny twist in the ending. Only wished they added more effects on the alien fight scenes. I would most definitely recommend this to all sci-fi junkies.

This movie never tried to be wonderful. It was a B movie all the way through. But I think that the make up and special effects gave this movie a good rating for me. The characters were all pretty much people that you know will live or die according to horror movie standards. And you wait for those scenes because you think you are going to get some shock that is worth the 3.99 you spent at Blockbuster. And it is totally disgusting enough for the 3.99. Is is sort of like rating a Horror movie by a standard of ickiness. Ickiness wins in this one. Now stop picking your nose.

It was ok, pretty much the same as the first two, watchable but not too memorable.

Full review of all three Species movies:

Species
A b-movie that became a sleeper. After following some instructions from space, the resulting subject escapes its cage when she is being gassed. A team consisting of an assassin, an empath, and other is made to track the oft naked young woman, who goes through a rapid growth aboard a train, ending up as a 20 something year old bombshell. They find her in LA, searching for a man to mate with in hopes of having nonhuman offspring to kill the human race. There is a good amount of boobs, and the script is decent enough. It is not a masterpiece by any means, but the combination of boobs and a decent b script makes for a decent flick.

Species 2
This movie goes wrong immediately by breaking Rule #1 of movie making: never bring back your deceased main character with a stupid plot device (cloning, in this case). This time, the first manned mission to Mars brings back more than rock samples, as two of the three astronauts are infected with alien DNA, slowly taking them over. The first astronaut, a woman, is killed after her alien offspring rips out of her before being subsequently killed. The other infected astronaut, a man, begins dipping his wick in almost anything that moves, whether they are willing or not. This results in exploding wombs and young alien hybrids that he hides in a barn. All the death brings back the two protagonists from the last movie to again stop an alien bent on destroying humans with sex. The acting is nonexistant, the gore is disgusting, silly and unnecessary for the most part and the movie has more holes than a sponge. No amount of boobs can save this travesty. That is a rare feat.

Species 3
Leaving off with the piece of crap that was part 2, it took Sci-Fi channel to revive this "franchise". This completely changes the focus of the series, as it is less about sex and more about survival. That is probably what makes this movie passable instead of deplorable. The daughter of the aliens from the last movie is now a "perfect" strain, supposedly more powerful than her parents (though this is never displayed). But the scientist that is secretly keeping her has intentions of removing the human from the alien strain and creating the "perfect" alien without any human. There are things in this movie that have no explanation, such as the existence of surviving offspring from part 2 or how some scientist with a lab in his basement has advanced knowledge about the aliens from the first two movies that is supposedly classified. But at the end of the day, it's an ok little monster movie with a predictable ending. But it is still leaps and bounds better than part 2.

FINAL RATINGS:
Species 8/10
Species 2 0/10
Species 3 6/10

Species II was unnecessary, Species III therefore was even less wanted or needed. Poorly edited, the plot is stupid, the acting only fair at best. Some decent photography, middling special effects. Not much here to recommend.
