Love, Actually, sucks. On all accounts.

The movie, however, was like an epic. Insanely long, and full of coincidences...did you know that EVERYONE in England knows each other?? It's amazing.


I am watching Striptease on VH1 right now, and I think it's cute. Tongue in cheek in parts, amusingly over acted, and mostly just a fun watch. *shrug* Plus I'm an amateur stripper. ;) So sue me.


Anyway, my neighbor took new headshots for me today...she's starting a photography business, and I think she has an excellent future in it. The photos came out gorgeous, with a little help from me of course. :) She took about 160 pictures, and about 145 of them came out stunning. I'll post THOSE as soon as I get the disk from her...probably sooner than the prom pics (I know, I know, promises promises).


But she did them for free, because she needs photos for her portfolio. I gave her some good ideas for teen photographs, and she said she'll use four or five of the headshots on her website. When I get the website I'll put it up, if anyone is in the Orlando area and needs fresh, beautiful headshots (done with a digital Canon Rebel EOS, the new version of my camera), I say go to Michael Ann.


So I feel pretty, the photos were gorgeous and I had a great time. Her three kids and my dad kept me laughing through most of it. Sick of me yet, Laur?? Wait, who did you say has the best smile? ;-) Lauren and Steeeeve, sittin' in a tree.... ;-) just kidding. love you


Tomorrow's my last official day of high school. Hallelujah.

Embarassing is the word that best describes the infamous Demi Moore fiasco known as Striptease. It's horribly written, poorly acted, and directed with seemingly blatant laziness. The most horrible thing, though, is that I was completely intrigued by its transparent storyline and nude women dancing (which is very strange, seeing as I'm a homosexual). I don't know what it is. Maybe I need to re-evaluate my idea of good entertainment to include bad movies like Showgirls and Striptease. Well, I guess with my partially positive reviews of both, I have already done that. ** (out of ****) C

SURE, NOT BY ANY MEANS A GREAT MOVIE, BUT NOT ALL THAT BAD EITHER. WHENEVER I WATCH NOTORIOUS CRITICAL FLOPS, I WONDER WHAT IT WAS THAT THE CRITICS HATED SO MUCH THAT I DIDN'T SEE. CATWOMAN AND GIGLI ARE TWO OTHER EXAMPLES. NONE OF THESE MOVIES WERE GOOD, BUT DIDN'T FIND ANY OF THEM SO HORRIBLY DIFFERENT THAN OTHER NOT SO GOOD MOVIES. I THINK DEMI MOORE DID A PRETTY GOOD JOB, AND HER STRIP SCENES WERE VERY WELL DONE AND CONVINCING. THE STORY IS INDEED NOT THAT SPECIAL, BUT THERE ARE SOME REDEEMING ASPECTS TO THE FILM

Godawful.

May well have been a silly plot but the film was not as bad as people say. I believe it was not viewed positively due to the money that Demi Moore received for her role. I have seen more silly films (eg Pulp fiction to name just one) that seem to have good review - how?!

Awful! I really need some new adjectives to be invented to truly describe how dire this nasty little film is.

Demi Moore was the least sexy "stripper" character I have ever seen in a movie. Her angst was irritating and her uncanny ability to make red blooded men in awe of her boring dances was not in the least bit believable.

I was so bored, I started writing a shopping list in the cinema (which did not include Annie Lennox's album, which now harbors bad memories of Demi's fake breasts and anguished expression for me).

When I realized I couldn't care less whether she got her child back or not and actually felt that Social Services could take better care of her, I decided it was time to leave the cinema and didn't see the end of the movie. I have never left the cinema in disgust before, or since!
