this movie was........AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow it has been a long time since i have seen an action movie this good, this is a story about revenge against his daughters captors and it pulls it off very well, it had eccelent action and story. i would highly recommend this movie to anyone

How anybody can say that this movie was brainless was watching this movie with their heads in a paper bag. All the awesome action aside, this was a well thought out movie with a decent plot. What put this movie over was the action. Never thought Liam Neeson could put together a movie as kickass as this and make himself look bad ass in the process...

Liam Neeson shows that he can be an action star... Who'd have known? Pretty good revenge story, but suffers from the fact that you already know how it's going to end. On the up side, we don't know how it's going to get to that point, throwing in a few twists, as Liam Neeson kills about 50 people. Overall this is a pretty cool movie, definitely one of the best action movies of the year.

It's not award winning film making, and it's not high art, but god damn is it entertaining. In the same way that Commando was a mindless yet incredibly fun Action film, Taken focuses on making a highly predictable plot really Thrilling and enjoyable. Liam Neeson pulls of a super-cool awesome character off brilliantly, and the villains are so vile and awful (intentionally) that you want to see him get vengeance on him. There is not one part of this film that bored me, and that's a sign that it's a good film. It's an awesome flick that the more I talk about it, the more I ruin it for you. So rather than leave me writing on and on why you should see it, just buy the DVD and watch it.

After Kimmy is first taken, I am thinking to myself I hope the friends from the begining don't have something to do with it because that is going to make this movie lame. By the end I was saying at least they have thrown in the friends twist. This movie started out strong the action was endless and just kind of fizzled out at the end.
