Demon Night was a great movie. The demons looked awesome and Billy Zane was really funny. I'd like to see a remake of Demon Night, but they must return Billy Zane as the main Villain.

I saw this again yesterday. It's still great fun to watch. Terrific fun for fans of the Tales from the Crypt series. Nice gore, some scares. I really like this film a lot. Not even Jada Pinkett could ruin this for me.

Demon Knight has surprisingly good acting and script, but then again you don't expect much. Billy Zane has easily his best performance, he is the driving force behind this film. It can be scary, but it also provides comedy. One liners, prop gags and an underlying element of sillyness highlight this otherwise terrifying film. If you enjoy what I like to call "abstract" movies; such as Napoleon Dynamite, Goodburger, Bubba Ho-Tep, Tremors, or anything similar to these, you will probably enjoy Demon Knight.

Billy Zane is the one who makes this movie happen.

Brayker is a man on the run from a powerful demon known as "the Collector." The Collector is after an old ancient artifact that is shaped as a key. It become apparent this artifact is quit valuable and can be used to unlock some great force. Nevertheless, Brayker has many hurdles to leap in this get away attempt. He must convince the people who have taken him in of what is going on, the power of the key, and the truth behind the artifact. There are also symbols on his hand that are lining up that mean something, but what? Can Brayker keep the people and this artifact safe over night until the morning when they can escape, or will the group at the hotel mutiny and turn the artifact over to the Collector?

"...actually sheriff, it was more like a tune-up and a lube job."

Ernest R. Dickerson, director of the television series The L Word, ER, and the Wire, along with feature films Bones, Bulletproof, Surviving the Game, and Juice collaborates with Gilbert Adler, producer of Superman Returns (2006), Constantine, Ghost Ship, House on Haunted Hill, Thir13en Ghosts, and Ghost Ship, along with numerous Tales from the Crypt episodes to create Demon Knight. The two of them create a brilliant film with a far better story then one would anticipate. They also chose the perfect cast for the film.

"Like the man said, if you knew who I was..."

"We'll find out at the station."

"Why wait?"

First, Billy Zane was the perfect villain. He was marvelous, funny, witty, and just perfect. The punch scene was grotesque, but fitting. I was very glad they used the Tales from the Crypt opening and ending. Wally, the unemployed postman, was the voice of Roger Rabbit for all those who did not know. The flash back scenes at the crucifix and WW I I believe were extremely well done. They did steal the magazine idea from Creepshow though. The film's presentation, plot, and storyline are far superior then it should be, just way more then you anticipate.

"You know this hell on earth business, big fucking deal, I got hemorrhoids."

I remember not being able to wait for this film to be released on DVD; I loved this film growing up. I remember not expecting much from this film and being pleasantly surprised, then expecting a lot from Bordello of Blood because this film was so good and being utterly disappointed. Nevertheless, this film does belong in your DVD collection, along with the box set of Tales from the Crypt. If you have not seen this film, see it.

"You don't mind if we kill the others?"

"If it feels good, do it."
