I so love this movie, especially the part where hulk smashes loki when loki says to him that he is a god :D

@ Dubious Aliens and avengers are a common theme in most of the comics, If you enjoy these movies and the mythology behind them then you should check out the Animated movies Avengers 1 and 2. Plus if you like the Justice League universe there is an older animated series called the Justice League that was pretty good and then there is a new series that has 2 seasons done so far called "young justice" I love that animated series, the plot is captivating, the ending of the each episode leaves you wanting more, so check em out if your interested... I really enjoyed the Avengers movie, I wish Ed Norton coulda stayed as the Hulk, but the substitute did a really good job, I didn't think Iron Man 3 lived up to my expectations, but its pretty rare nowadays for a trilogy to be able to live up to expectations...

Though it was a fun movie, it basically ruined the movie series' for most of the characters in the movie (such as Iron Man and Hulk). I mean come on, aliens -- really? Watching Iron Man 3, set in the same universe was sort of weird, having the attempted alien invasion mentioned like it was a car accident.

Think I watched this about nine times now, that's a beauty of having a kid who's into Marvel and DC comics like his mama. Visually stunning, but also funny, filled with action and comical scenes, love it. Especially Hulk. His facial expressions are priceless.
10/10 (again).

The Avengers Rocks!
It's very Character heavy, but it works Brilliantly.
We learn something about each character and then we get to see them ALL work together. I simply love how they Build the characters working together as a TEAM for FUTURE Avenger Flicks.
Altho, I doubt anything can Beat this Epic Flick! (We Will see.)
The Penguin gives this film a 11.5/10. Cheers...

I know a lot of people like it but all in all I just found it to have much less character development, storyline and chemistry between the characters, than the single character movies.
It seems to have been geared mainly towards the sadly these days ever present CGI "oo's and ahh's" rather than to connect to the diverse individual storylines and get a good base going.
They did a pretty good job with the X-Men trilogy, the did pretty good with X-Men first class. But the Avengers fall a bit short in terms of story vs effects.
The movie does have it's moments though like the bantering between Ironman and Thor, The Hulk going to town on Loki etc, but they can't pull the movie out of the pit in my opinion.
I would give it:
- Actionscenes/CGI 10/10
- Storyline 3/10
- Character onscreen chemistry 5/10
- Overall 5.5/10
