Why i hate this last ending to say no die.
baby ate it gone...too lated....:(
I know, most people think the story of The Blue Lagoon is quite a bit cheesy. And I know it is, but I really love it. :D I grew up with the movie with Brooke Shields. I think I've watched it about 20 times already, and the first time I watched it I was still a little girl, about at the time when it was released on VHS and we had our first VCR at home. It's the movie that made me have romantic fantasies for almost the first time. The very first movie that made me fantasize for the first time was Grimms's fairytale called Die Sechs Schw

The Blue Lagoon: 5/10

Lousy remake of the 1949 British Classic, it's basically soft porn, poorly acted. The writing is dreadful and the direction not much better. One big plus though - the magnificent location filming and cinematography.

I'm beginning the rather lengthy task of entering into the database every film I have seen, at least those I have a decent memory of. Some may have the briefest of reviews while many will just have a number. Those films that I consider personal favorites and/or those that have some historical signficance I will add later when I have time for more lengthy reviews.

Crimes of Passion, directed by Ken Russell, is an erotic thriller stars Kathleen Turner as a sports designer who masquerades as a hooker. Anthony Perkins stars as a preacher with sins of his own.

The Presidio, directed by Peter Hyams, stars Sean Connery and Mark Harmon whom are investigating a murder at a military base.

The Blue Lagoon, directed by Randal Kleiser, stars Brooke Shields and Christopher Atkins as two young lovers stranded together on a remote island. Generallt considered to be one of thw worst movies ever made for good reason...it's dreadful!

Hamburger Hill, directed by John Irvin, is a Vietnam war film about a group of marines trying to capture one hill. The main problem with this film is the lack of a central character. It's a pretty average war film. It does fetaure Don Cheadle in a very early role.

Wired, directed by Larry Peerce, is the biography of John Belushi. He deserved better than this wretched film.

My Grade: F
Well, this is quite a controversial movie. Good thing not many have even heard of it. First, we must address the issue of the whole 'child pornography' thing. I can't remember where i heard it (i think it was a television special about child molesters a few years ago), but i remember a lady saying that if the image doesn't focus on the "privates" of the child, it isn't child pornography. I'm sure that your parents have pictures of you naked :P Yes, there are nude children in the film. No, it's not child pornography. Anyway, it still might make most people really uncomfortable (i was especially uncomfortable). There is quite a bit of nudity in this film. Most of it, is from Christopher Atkins. Seeing his "wing-ding" flailing across the screen is really uncomfortable for males (unless you are a homosexual male...nothing wrong with that). The story itself isn't that bad. If the writing and the direction of the plot were better, this could have been a great film. There are also some factors that really balance on the fine line of logic. Some questionable things like, how did they get clothes? They certainly couldn't have had the knowledge to make them even if they could make the tools some how. This would be a good sexual education film though. It sort of explains the basics of love and how babies are made :P I wouldn't recommend watching this unless you have a extremely strong interest in it. Otherwise, leave it be.

Just an entertaining and romantic movie without anything interesting to show.
