I'll watch anything with Henry Cavill in it. He's the hottest guy ever. God's gift to women. Praise God!

When I first saw this movie in the theater I did not like it. But aftewr renting it when it came out on DVD. I found my self really liking this movie and loving the bad guy played by Guy Pearce. I loved him in "Time Machine" and "L.A. Confidental" he play the bay guy so very well. This movie was very well done

the whole revenge thing was interesting. but after thinking about it for a bit, it was kinda lame... i really enjoyed the fight sequences tho, some of the best (and realistic) sword fights ive seen in awhile.

Pretty good movie. It was a very smart and witty movie. It was entertaining, interesting, and not confusing at all. Cavizel and the rest of the cast gave a solid performance in this one. Few minor problems were that it was boring in some parts and it was a little too long and could've been a few minutes shorter. But still, Count of Monte Cristo is a entertaining movie none the less.
This movie gets a 7/10.

The Count of Monte Cristo is just a good old fashion action-adventure film. I've viewed it a few times now, and I never get bored of the story. It is predictable but well paced and well told. Richard Harris gives a wonderful performance as a wise priest.

As a kid, I remember watching the 1974 version with Richard Chamberlin, but I did not remember much of it. After re-watching it as an adult, I understand why it was not very memorable, so make sure to watch the 2002 film.

Why You Should See This Movie:
This classic story is one that is definitely worth experiencing either by reading or by seeing this theatrical version. While the acting and directing are good, the story is the meat of this film and drives it towards the success it achieves. Jim Caviezel is good as Dantes as well as the fabulous Richard Harris. Because of the intrigue of the story, the film smartly sticks to the plot which is very interesting and captivating. The film is put together well and tells the story without much extraneous distraction.

Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:
Since this film leaves out any graphic sex, violence and language, there isn't much reason not to check this film out no matter your demographic or background.

Conclusion:
The Count of Monte Cristo is a well told theatrical version of the classic tale of a man betrayed and imprisoned who is able to successfully plot and execute his revenge.
