I caught about 20 minutes of this movie while eating lunch.

The Strong: Steve and Terry are so used to working in front of the cameras every day - they seemed very natural. Just like watching their shows. But....

The Weak: This also displays the startling contrast of the acting ability of everyone else. Every other actor in this movie seemed unnatural, forced, and way over the top. Now I know this wasn't supposed to be a serious flick, but it seemed everyone else needed acting lessons - STAT!

So, since the only since I liked about this was Steve and Terry - I decided to turn it off and just watch their own shows instead :)

In honor and memory of Steve Irwin, I dug back in the movie archives of my memory to review his 2002 big screen debut, The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course. And my opinion of it hasn't changed. It's a charming little movie. Not a great one by any means, but Steve's infectious enthusiasm for what he does elevates this movie from the mess it could have been.

Steve stars as himself, trying to stop a group of CIA agents he thinks are poachers, who are trying to catch a crocodile that swallowed a tracking device. The plot is, of course, beside the point here. The real pleasure is watching Steve do what he does best. And director John Stainton is wise enough not to get in his way.

Rest in peace, Steve. Crikey...we'll miss you.

5.5/10. Steve Irwin has such a natural and strangely charming manner about him, it's hard not to like the film. But the bizarre subplot is just too much. Great Australian scenery.

Whose idea was it to make it have a plot?

As an Aussie who has spent time in the outback I found this a great movie even though Steve Irwin is/was a wanker.

It is interesting to note that both the best and worst thing about Collision Course are the same. On one hand, it is very close to the TV Show, just with some fiction added in. While the fiction is boring, the bad part is that the film is too similar to its TV Counterpart, and shines as inferiour. You'd be best just buying the TV Series on DVD.
