Stylish, thought-provoking drama from Yimou Zhang (Hero, House Of Flying Daggers). Set during The Sino-Japanese War, the flamboyant direction does not always sit comfortably with the subject matter.

THE FLOWERS OF WAR(english title) this was a great film, very moving. christian bale was great in this. shame cant say same about batman n most of his other films, bar a few as he has played some great characters in other films i have watched recently.
