One of the best movies ever made, if not the best. I have all 3 extended editions. Only thing I didn't like about this extended edition is the Mouth of Sauron. His smile just looks too cheesy

*Warning* this is not an actual review or anything these are just my thoughts.
I loved this movie! I started crying about an hour into this movie and I didn't stop. When Sam tells Frodo "I can't carry the ring but I can carry you" I lose it, or when Sam was talking about Rosie and the Shire and Frodo comforts him? Waterworks! I have t-shirts stained with eyeliner because I cried so much. It is a wonderful finale to a wonderful series. This is a great movie period. The books are stupendous and the movies are fantastic, Peter Jackson created a miracle. I think J.R.R Tolkein would be impressed.

What a great movie!!! I thought I'd seen this extended version before but I hadn't. I wasn't expecting to see so many of the storylines from the book fleshed out in this version--pleasantly surpised!

it was an okay movie

I loved the trilogy for LOTR but I remember so much more mysticism and magic when I was reading the books. This seemed to focus more on the brute force behind the sword. I would have loved to have seen more fantasy.

I teared up at the end...Its a very satisfying movie and the battle sequences are fantastic! Andy Serkis is amazing as Gollum yet again and the giant spider is terrifying. Plus Sam is so awesome and brave. It might seem very long at over 3 hours long but its so worth it. Its one of my favourite movies of all time - although it does get a little cheesy at times.
