To find a film that you haven't seen based on others taking the time to write a review or to post a link- it just puts such a big smile on my face. This movie is as epic as can be- one that everyone really needs to see. No more rhymes now, I mean it. Anybody want a peanut?

Fezzick ( the giant ) and inigo montoya is so adorable hehehe. I bet when inigo will become the pirate it will be a hilarious adventure:)

Famous words ... Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die ... A kindly grandfather sits down with his ill grandson and reads him a story. The story is one that has been passed down from father to son for generations. As the grandfather reads the story, the action comes alive. The story is a classic fairy tale of love and adventure with swordplay, giants, an evil prince, a beautiful princess, and yes, some kissing (as read by a kindly grandfather).

It would be absolutely, totally, and in all other ways inconceivable to me that anyone hasn't seen this. It just gets better every time I watch it.

The year is 1987, so you can't really compare it to newer movies in the same genre. But if you compare it to similar movies from 1987, then it's not so badly made. The storyline on the other hand is timeless and therefor somewhat predictable. But despite of that, there are some small things in many of the dialogues that makes it different from ordinary "prince meets princess-fairytales".
There are lots of witty quotes and funny comments that's said in passing as younger viewer might miss, but even the most serious thing is lined with humour which makes the movie perfect for the younger audience.
If you want to escape reality for a while and just have a good time without having to think too much, then, this is the movie for you!
