the best horror movie series ever

Great remake! The original was great but the girls were a bit too screachy. I think some old horror actresses had not much else going for them besides nudity. Jamie Lee Curtis was the best of them.

Hollywood has too much time on it's hands, why can't we get people that can make interesting movies for once? I didn't like the original much and guess what? This is actually way worse than the original. Dumb, people that made this movie; go away.

Definitely inferior to the original but still worth a scare.

OH lord! this movie is putrid garbage!!! it has the potentiol to be watchable but turns out to not even be on the same level as texas chainsaw massacre netx generation!!!!!! (and thats pretty bad)

Another decent remake by Marcus Nispel.. who also directed "Friday the 13th" which came out this year! anyways, the original "TCM" will always remain the best.. but this one was as good as the original! And what the trailer might have you believe, this isn't based on true events nor is it really inspired by a true story! I must say that this is a very well crafted horror film and a wonderful spook show ride! Leatherface looks very creepy in this.. him running with the chainsaw chasing around people really freaked me out a lot.. i was at the edge of my seat! what also impressed me was Jessica Biel's performance.. it was exhilarating and intense! The only complaint I have is there really needs to be a bigger body count and there needs to be more chainsaw deaths! Bottomline - Great horror movie!

Huge horror movie fan and everybody hates on the remakes always but I enjoyed this movie as much as the original. Lots of gore but what do you expect now days its part of it. Leatherface looks awesome too.
