So I'm in my Asian American Studies 190 class and Professor Omi tells us that Undercover Brother is "a really good race movie." We all kinda give each other the raised eyebrow...you know the drill...and suffice to say we were a bit skeptical. However, me and the study group gang decide to give the movie a try. Even in the first 5 minutes we knew it was gonna be a good movie. It was frickin' HI-larious if I do say so myself. Feel-good movie of the year? Not quite, but it'll make you think twice about that extra dollop of mayo  So here's my stamp of approval

While I'm here, I may as well catch up on a few other flicks I haven't rated yet. This one surprised me. I was expecting it to be crap, but lo and behold I laughed my head off. Dave Chappelle was the real show-stealer here. Every scene with him was hilarious. I also found every scene involving mayonnayse hysterical. I think my favorite joke was the Bruce Lee reference near the end, "I just bought those!"

Undercover Brother

Ok, I know most of you have seen this, but I laughed my balls off. This is a great movie. Every 5 minutes at most I cant stop laughing. I hope this becomes a franchise and we can all look forward to more adventures of the Undercover Brother. And where the fuck did they dig up Doogie Howser from?

I absolutely loved this movie. It was hillarious from the get go. There were so many memorable lines from this one I can barely remember them all. I'd like to see more comedies like this. I thought Billy Dee's commercial was a riot. I used to work for the pentagon now I help you to get your chicken on. Classic.

Undercover Brother is a movie you either get, or you don't. If you don't, you are really missing out. Those who do understand it, will howl to no end. Eddie Griffith is absolutely hilarious as Undercover Brother himself. However, I think Dave Chapelle and Chris Katan outshine him. In fact, the whole cast is just brilliantly put together.
Every line in the movie seems to be better than the last, and the efforts to bring down "The Man" is a perfect poke at all the blacksploitation movies of the 70's.
If you want a good laugh...go pick it up.

The Sum of All Fears is filled with technical jargon in the first half and lacks plausibility in the second half, but it is straightforward and effective.

Undercover Brother is an Austin Powers-esque comedy without all the gross-out jokes. Eddie Griffin stars but Billy Dee Williams stands out in his cameo.

The Bourne Identity is smart and intelligent but as a film hyped up in its ads as being action-filled, that was lacking.

Mr. Deeds was not Adam Sandler's best feature, but it certainly wasn't his worst.

In Minority Report, Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg let loose a riveting sci-fi adventure that is visually breathtaking.

Not that bad of a movie, It's a great comedy movie. For me Dave Chapelle stole the show, he was hilarious. Eddie Griffin and Chris Kattan were also really funny. Lots of funny scenes. The golf cart chase almost had me pissing my pants. The music is also cool. The Romeo Must Die spoof scene was funny. The final fight scene was actually kind of cool. All around just a good comedy, funny spoof of 70's films. 6 on 10.

A fairly funny comedy about 'thee' Undercover Brother, Eddie Griffin, who teams up with the B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D. to defeat "The Man". With a plot as thin as thread and racist stereotypes galore!, this film is hit it miss with its comedic moments. The last 3rd of the film was probably the funniest ... Surprisingly though, all the supporting characters had moments to shine, especially Dave Chappelle, Neil Patrick Harris and Chris Kattan. Oh, and Denise Richards was stunning as always (too bad she can't act herself out of a paperbag). All in all a decent comedy, perhaps worthy of a rental on a calm Sunday evening. Warning: bottle of merlot may be required in order to make yourself laugh (oh, and they left it open for a sequel; goodie goodie gumdrops! lol). Cheers
